Patterns

Five patterns were designed for this project, ranging from illustration to line art and graphic shapes. All patterns are seamlessly repeatable, and were designed in Adobe Illustrator CC.

Elephant & Castle

A pattern inspired by the Elephant and Castle area in London, in which the London College of Communication is based.

The striped cube

A simple (yet versatile) geometric pattern. Available in monochrome and tricolour variations.

Celestial bodies

A simple and elegant pattern inspired by celestial bodies (suns, moons and stars). Modern graphic shapes were used to contrast with the mystical and spiritual connotations often associated with stars.

Waves

A delicate pattern created by distorting parallel lines into intricate waveforms.

Winter Nights

An alternate concept to the "Celestial bodies" pattern, where the sun was replaced by an asterisk to symbolise a snowflake.

Winner of the 2019 London College of Communication Print & Type Christmas Wrapping Paper competition.
